Lotus

Remember this day you're starting a life long lasting love affair with yourself. Accept it with gratitude and in awe, like people of the ancient times marveling at the returning sun after a total eclipse. Oh how wonderful to be worth of experiencing this. I don't have exclamation signs on me yet, but I'm sure they'll come. They're waiting for me floating on top of golden trees and they pop just the right amount, at the right time, when I'm passing them on my journey. I carry little smiles at the root of each grey hair and giggle when the wind of time carries them away. I don't count my steps anymore, gratefully letting them fade away where they belong. I thank you, my fellow human, for the lesson, for the thorns on the lotus, for teaching me the emptiness at the core of illusions. I'm letting you go and wish you well
