Time and Autumn
It's that time of the year,
when the air becomes dense.
Time, for a moment,
material.
Sweet like overripe fruit.
Every breath, a bit of a
guilty pleasure.
That pause was intentional, yes.
And you, with the green eyes, begin
to understand my silences
so well.
