Darling,

that night~
we talked for hours
you painted wonders
in the stories you’ve lived
how~
when you sleep,
you dreamt of flying
how~
when you wake,
you dreamt of escaping
of this glorious liberation
towards something better
somewhere larger than life
and this little old city
but I’ve been there
and I choose surrender.
